In the Arts

Our founder Andy Young has a true passion for Art and Nature and this can be seen translated into his recent sculptural projects – an exciting extension to the existing Create Bespoke business.

His creative work is influenced by his extensive experience in design and construction and inspiration is provided by the beauty that surrounds us in everyday life.  These natural patterns form the thread that connects the pieces.

Using a range of creative methods to bring that transient beauty to life in permanent works of art is at the core of his philosophy.

Combining materials and techniques commonly used in his design and construction business, Andy and his highly skilled team create pieces which can transform any space and which can be enjoyed in a range of environments.

Concepts include copper trees formed from bare electrical cable, magnolia trees in bloom combining copper piping and ceramics and sunflowers formed using a combination of pipework and marble to create stunning functional table sculptures.

With an increasing demand for sculpture in both commercial and residential spaces Andy has worked with well-known artists, established brands and high profile individuals. He has collaborated with Anthony Carro's studio on the original concept for the tree sculptures and he is also working with the same engineering firm as Antony Gormley's Quantum Cloud on multiple concept pieces to add to his portfolio.

His latest creation 'Copper Bloom' was selected to appear at the prestigious 'Sculpt'exhibition at Kew Gardens, alongside work from renowned UK and international artists including Simon Gudgeon and Philip Blacker.

Also showing at Kew was his 'Twisted Beauty' installation, originally commissioned to appear at the House of Peroni and within the beautiful surroundings of Somerset House.

As a consequence of these high profile events and the resulting media interest, Andy’s work has gained significant attention within the art and design world.

This is an exciting time for both me and the business as I now have the opportunity to translate my experience in building and engineering into a more artistic arena and branch out into an area that I feel very passionate about

The work has already generated significant press interest in UK market and he is currently in discussion with various art galleries globally for representation.

All of the pieces are unique and can be crafted to specific size requirements. If you would like to discuss a project with Andy, get in touch.
